Right, well, if you've got this far you probably know my name is Nattie. You probably also know that I'm 29 (born on the winter solstice just over a year before the end of the '70s) and live in Cambridge. The one in the UK. I live where young men sing, and maidens blossom where smiling people make strong men run for miles and miles, with my husband. He's cute. And clever. Sometimes.

You want to know what I look like? Shortish, roundish, darkish. Good enough for you?

I spent large amounts of my misspent youth (11 semesters, Fall 1996 through Fall 2001) in the European Studies and Music departments of San Diego State University, emerging finally with a BA in French and German with a minor in Music. After that, I did the MA in European Language and Intercultural Studies at Anglia Ruskin University just before it changed its name - I still kind of think of it as The Poly, but that's probably just me ;-)

Oh, and I sing. Currently (since the autumn of 2004) I sing with Wolfson College Choir (music soc website designed by my Evil Twin) and the New Cambridge Singers, as a first soprano in both cases, though I still like to hop in on other parts in case of shortage, having sung second soprano at school, alto for money, and tenor on a whim. Nowadays Lyn (my teacher) would kill me for singing too low, though... Before that, I sang with (inter alia) Sidney chapel choir, which seems to have changed a fair bit since I wandered off, CUMS, and La Jolla Symphony Chorus. I've also just recently passed Grades 7 and 8 in singing (distinctions in both, but who's counting?), and passed the Diploma (performance, singing, obv.) the day before my birthday in 2006.

I've also taken up dancing lately. I'm a member of the Cambridge Dancers' Club, which has much to commend it, particularly the General Dancing on Friday nights. I've also dabbled somewhat in Argentine Tango, though a) I know that dabbling is not enough, and b) I've had to give it up for the moment as there are only so many days in the week. Perhaps I'll be able to come back to it at some point in the future... I also attend the odd ceilidh put on by The Round.

These days, somewhat more frequently, you can find me trying to learn to poke people with poky things.

That's all for the moment - there are other bits that may or may not get written up later. If you want any more, you can sing it yourself ;-)
